The Bay of Plenty Regional Council Toi Moana received over 50 applications this year for projects with a combined value of approximately $272k. Funding was awarded via participatory budgeting principles, with 70% of the funds awarded via a public voting round and 30% awarded by a Youth Panel consisting of 14 rangatahi from across the Bay of Plenty. Over $167k will be distributed to the 36 successful applicants listed above.

Our sincere thanks to our funding partners: Tauranga City Council, Western Bay of Plenty District Council, Rotorua Trust, Trust Horizon, BayTrust and TECT Community Trust. Without their generous support of the School Sustainability and Resilience Fund, the Regional Council would not have been able to fund so many deserving projects.
