Route A - What's new?
Route A replaces most of the existing Route 10 between the CBD and the Airport. It will no longer divert via Holdens Bay. It will extend to serve the Lakefront at the City end of the route.
Key Points:
- The timetable will be linked to Airport arrivals and departures rather than to a regular hourly frequency.
- At the city end of the route it will be extended to serve the Lake Front area.
- The route into town will be via Sala Street & Fenton Street to better serve city hotels from the airport.
- Holdens Bay will be served by new Route E
We need your feedback on the two potential options for Route A (please see maps below):
- Option 1: A fast direct link to the airport via Te Ngae Road in both directions.
- Option 2: Operate via Vaughan Road on outbound journeys to maintain the existing one-way service.
