It was great to receive 319 submissions on Councils Consultation Document on the proposed Long Term plan 2021-2031, an increase of around 33% over the Long Term Plan 2018-2028.

A total of 73 submitters spoke to their submissions over the four days of hearings in Tauranga, Whakatāne, and Rotorua.

Next Steps

• 12 May 2021 - Council Meeting where Council deliberate and consider all the submissions received and provide final direction on the draft Long Term Plan
• 24 June 2021 – Council Meetings where the Long Term Plan 2021-2031 is expected to be adopted. ^h
• By end of July - Responses to submitters outlining key decisions by Council and link to the final Long Term Plan 2021-2031.
